A Greek-American, Kosta was born in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and spent his formative years living in one of the Kingdom’s western compounds before moving to the United States to attend boarding school. Settling first in the northeast, he moved to North Carolina in search of warmer climates and educational opportunities.
Kosta attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where he studied Computer Science and Philosophy. Graduating in 2006, he spent the next three years independently learning web design and development while working a number of different positions including tutoring math, and as a substitute teacher for the Durham Public School System. During his self-driven studies, he has devoted a great amount of time to gaining experience with Drupal, which in his own words is “a fantastic Content Management System.”
At DesignHammer, Kosta is involved in website design, development and is focusing a great deal of attention on Search Engine Optimization and Usability services offered by the company.
In his free time, Kosta is a very active sportsman, playing soccer and biking to work everyday. He also plays a number of musical instruments including guitar, piano, bouzouki (a Greek instrument similar to a mandolin), and baglamas (a miniature bouzouki).
