Claire Carson

Claire was born in Chapel Hill and has lived her entire life so far in North Carolina. A recent high school graduate, she is looking forward to pursuing a degree in engineering at Northwestern University starting this fall. Although she is excited to live near Chicago and the shores of Lake Michigan, she will be sure to miss the warm and sunny North Carolina weather.

Claire first heard about DesignHammer through David Minton and Stephen Pashby with whom she fences at Mid-South Fencers’ Club in Durham. She is excited to be a part of the DesignHammer team this summer and enjoys writing articles for the company and learning more about working for a small business.

Most of Claire's spare time is dedicated to saber fencing. She has been fencing for three years and competes both locally and nationally. She looks forward to continuing her fencing career in the NCAA next year. When she is not fencing, Claire spends her time reading, swimming, running, or hanging out with friends. Claire loves the outdoors and wishes she could spend more time backpacking or catching some whitewater in the mountains.
