Robert Weeks spent ten years as a fine furniture maker before delving headfirst into the web in 1995. Bringing his sense of fine craftsmanship and attention to detail to the web, Robert immediately became fascinated by the artistic and communication possibilities he envisioned for this medium.
In 1995, he started a one-man web design and programming shop in New York's SoHo; Simon and Schuster's online division hired Robert to create some of the first author and book web sites. In 1997, he moved the business to Durham, NC, where he continued to build his business through the word-of-mouth recommendations of satisfied clients.
In the spring of 2000, Robert accepted the position of Senior Web Developer with NetworkArts, where he met David Minton and Frank Yonnetti. Enjoying a special working relationship based on attention to detail, dedication to clients, and love of the web, Weeks, Yonnetti, and Minton went on to found DesignHammer Media Group in late 2000.
