DesignHammer Thrills with News Publication Site

DesignHammer Media Group LLC has successfully launched the Ten Minutes web site for Franklin Publishing Group LLC. Ten Minutes is a subscription-based, daily executive briefing, available at ncten.com.

“We’re thrilled! DesignHammer has been fantastic working with us to make this all happen so quickly and efficiently! The site exceeded our expectations, and was delivered on time and within budget,” said Ten Minutes Editor-In-Chief Zach Clayton.

To empower the Ten Minutes staff, DesignHammer developed a number of online tools, including a custom-built content management system, subscriber registration tools with real-time credit card processing, and access control systems. Sample issues are available for review (9/10/2004 and 9/13/2004).

Posted by 9:30am every weekday, the new internet publication is a “smart, fast, report designed to bring busy North Carolinians up to speed every weekday on the day’s most important news, politics, business, and sports,” added Clayton.

Ten Minutes’ editorial staff of seven scans over 100 national and state newspapers each morning, monitors two-dozen local TV stations, and all the national cable and network news. Ten Minutes Chairman of the Board Doug Bailey remarked that “In a 24 hour news world, no single rational person can keep up with all of the news… yet busy business and political leaders must know what’s going on in the state. The staff of Ten Minutes monitors it all 24-7, so its customers can quickly catch the essentials they need to know each day, then move on to more important things.” Bailey founded National Journal’s Hotline, which is widely considered Washington, DC’s most important daily political publication.

Franklin Publishing Group selected DesignHammer to develop, maintain and host its initial online publication in August, 2004. The site is available to the public, with six-month subscriptions available for $50, and twelve-month subscriptions for $90. A free two-week trial subscription is also available.
