DesignHammer Helps Sipp Acquire Business Leads
DesignHammer Media Group announces the launch of the redesigned website for John F. Sipp & Associates, a Triangle-based agency specializing in providing health solutions for both groups and individuals. The new website is located at www.jfsipp.com.
DesignHammer played a major role, along with Multi-Channel Marketing, in developing and implementing the new strategy, to create an Internet-based lead generation program for Sipp & Associates. The new Sipp website is an integral part of a “localized” Internet marketing program developed by Multi-Channel Marketing that will generate ongoing, quantifiable results. Multi-Channel Marketing’s President, Alan Hecht, selected DesignHammer to design and develop the site based on “Design Hammer’s design skills and professional approach to website development.”

DesignHammer Provides CWEP Site A Clean New Look
DesignHammer Media Group announces the launch of the redesigned website for the North Carolina Clean Water Education Partnership (CWEP), a program of Triangle J Council of Governments.
“We were privileged to be selected by CWEP to design their web site,” said David Minton, Managing Partner for DesignHammer. “CWEP works to protect North Carolina’s waterways from stormwater pollution through public education and outreach. We were pleased we could contribute to their efforts by providing them with a more effective means of publicizing their content on the Web,” Minton stated.
“We discovered Design Hammer through a contact that had previous experience working with David,” said Sarah Bruce, Water Resources Planner and CWEP Coordinator. “We decided to have DesignHammer build our site because the company is both technically capable and easy to work with. Our new website is a quantum improvement over our last; we have greatly increased the amount of information on why stormwater pollution is a problem in North Carolina and what citizens can do about this problem. One of the most exciting aspects of our new site is that the public and our organizational partners will be able to view or listen to spots from our radio and television campaigns and download our brochure,” Bruce added.
Clean Water Education Partnership (CWEP) is a cooperative stormwater pollution education and awareness program involving almost 30 different local governments within the Cape Fear, Neuse, and Tar-Pamlico River Basins. State agencies help advice the Partnership and Triangle J Council of Governments provides staff support. CWEP uses mass media campaigns and other methods to communicate how the public can help protect surface water quality.

DesignHammer Launches Enhanced NC Policy Watch Site
Today DesignHammer Media Group announced it launched the North Carolina Policy Watch’s completely redesigned website located on the Internet at ncpolicywatch.org.
“We were honored to by selected by the A.J. Fletcher Foundation to design the NC Policy Watch website” said David Minton, Managing Partner for DesignHammer. “They are a non-profit that does important work in North Carolina and we were happy we could enhance their web presence, and facilitate getting their message out.” Minton added.

DesignHammer completed the initial NC Policy Watch web site, replacing the web presence afforded through a section of the Philanthropy Journal site. The new site features greatly expanded content, and a simple design and near monochromatic palette, intended to allow readers to focus on the news and commentaries featured on the site. The site’s Content Management System (CMS) allows easy input by NC Policy Watch staff, as well as site visitors, and is configured to handle multi-media content, including images and audio files. The semantic, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS-based layout ensure accessibility across multiple platforms, from current Linux, Macintosh, and Windows browsers to cellular Internet devices, PDAs and text-only browsers.

DesignHammer Names Chuck Solomon For Business Development Role
Today DesignHammer Media Group, LLC announced that Chuck Solomon joined the firm as a Business Development Consultant. Solomon has a Bachelors degree from the University of Maine at Farmington and a Masters degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He moved from New England to the Triangle in 1992. Since 1992, he has worked and consulted in the information technology, public relations, non-profit/human services, and human resources industries.

DesignHammer Gets A New Look
Today DesignHammer Media Group, LLC announced the launch of its totally redesigned website, www.designhammer.com featuring a new look and improved usability features.
Frank Yonnetti, chief architect of the redesign and DesignHammer Partner said, “My main goal was to stay ahead of our competition. So I wanted to give our site a fresh new look based on current design trends along with some added usability. I see the push for web standards and designing for forward compatibility. To help achieve this I needed to separate design and layout from content and HTML structure within the (behind the scenes) code using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).” Yonnetti added, “This method streamlines transitioning to platform independence, and allows sites to easily support devices such as PDAs and cell phones, in addition to traditional web browsers. DesignHammer Named in Top-Ten List of Developers in Triangle
DesignHammer Media Group, LLC was featured in the Triangle Business Journal’s 2005 list of top twenty-five Internet Marketing and Design Firms, as published in the June 17th issue. This was DesignHammer’s fourth consecutive appearance on the list, this year breaking into the top ten in the tenth spot.

New Durham Bulls Website a Big Hit
The most recognized minor league baseball website in the nation got a facelift today as the Durham Bulls Baseball Club went live with the new DurhamBulls.com. With several new features, the website now offers more fan-friendly amenities and interactive areas.
“Our website has always been a major source of pride for our ball club,” General Manager Mike Birling said, “now the fan experience will be better than ever.”
New features on the site include a rotating promotional window that keeps fans informed of team news and game promotions, “Wool-E-Grams” on the home page where fans can send a special message (Happy Birthday, Welcome Home, etc.) to a family member or friend and a “Value-Bulls” section where team partners have special offers for Bulls fans as well as contest and promotional sign-up forms.
The website was redesigned by award-winning DesignHammer Media Group LLC, whose client list includes RTI International, etrials Worldwide, CIIT Centers for Health Research, The John Locke Foundation, and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. David Minton, Design Hammer’s managing partner, was happy with the opportunity to rebuild the site.
“This season we had the opportunity to completely rebuild the site from the ground up, for the first time since 2002. This year’s site features a contemporary look, and makes extensive use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to arrange content in a user friendly way,” he said.

Founded in 1902 as the Durham Tobacconists, the Durham Bulls are the AAA affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. The Bulls play in the International League, and were league champions in 2002 and 2003. Verdict in on New eClinical Web Site
DesignHammer Media Group has deployed a redesigned web site for etrials Worldwide, an eClinical software and services company.
The Look and Feel of the new site features a simple and clean interface to ensure high usability, as well as “edgy images” with a consistent look and feel, to “add a face to the technology,” while avoiding a stock photography look and feel.
DesignHammer was selected for the etrials project based upon a track record of developing successful web sites for high tech organizations, including award-winning projects for RTI International, as well as work for CIIT.

DesignHammer Selected to Support NC Spin
Carolina Broadcasting System, has selected DesignHammer Media Group LLC to provide hosting and maintenance services for the NC Spin web site.
In addition to hosting and maintaining the official web site for NC Spin, DesignHammer will host and support the weekly SPINCycle email newsletter. The SPINCycle includes summaries of upcoming episodes, editorials by NC Spin host Com Campbell, political gossip, and reader comments. This week’s issue of SPINCycle featured a redesign, that will be further refined in the upcoming months.
“Even before the end of our first day with the new SPINCycle design, we had received numerous favorable comments from subscribers. DesignHammer does great work,” said Tom Campbell, creator, executive producer, and moderator of NC SPIN.
NC SPIN was created as a forum to provide in-depth, balanced presentation of North Carolina issues. The Embassy of Finland, Washington, DC, has selected DesignHammer Media Group LLC to provide hosting and consulting services for the Project Finland web site.
Project Finland is an educational interactive tour of Finland, designed to help children ages 9–12 experience Finland’s society, culture and environment.
Developed by the government of Finland, Project Finland offers three virtual tours, including Environment, Social Change, and Global Connection, and shows how Finland has addressed these important issues.
