Durham, NC – The iPhone library is now one app stronger with DesignHammer developer,
Jay Robert’s new application for the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game, with
graphics provided by Lead Designer, Frank Yonnetti. The concept for the program came
to Roberts after noticing some drawbacks to playing the game at home.
“The biggest problem was that, as the game progressed, the space taken up by
resource cards grew and grew,” says Roberts. “The next night I mocked up a simple
web-based counter that kept track of resources. We used that instead and it was like
night and day. What was frustrating became liberating.”
World of Warcraft, a popular multi-player online role-playing game, has had great
success with more than 10 million subscribers worldwide. The extension trading card
game simulates the online experience offline, and provides players another
opportunity to continue the gaming.
There are a few other TCG applications in the iPhone library currently available,
but Roberts feels theirs to offer great value to devotees of the game. “TGC Counter
is the only iPhone app that is designed specifically to keep track of resource
cards. You will spend more time playing and less time flipping cards.”
Lead Designer, Frank Yonnetti stated, “It became very exciting once Apple officially
gave the approval. Feels great to be able to contribute to the success of the
application with my design work. Very happy with how it turned out and I hope the
gaming community will enjoy it.”
The application is now available in the iPhone store. To learn more about the TCG
Counter and see a demonstration of the application in action, visit the
