How CED found synergy with DesignHammer to support entrepreneurship

Since 1984, CED (Council for Entrepreneurial Development) has been dedicated to connecting and growing a community of entrepreneurs in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. Through mentoring, research, investor outreach, education, public relations and other needed services, CED has played an essential role in fostering today’s successful and diverse culture of entrepreneurship in North Carolina.

In 2015, on the verge of launching a new website for the organization, unforeseen circumstances forced CED to seek out a new vendor to complete the site and manage the deployment. With many local options to choose from, CED was impressed by the experience with Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), including Drupal, as well as integration with Salesforce, offered by DesignHammer.

After a brief selection process, CED partnered with DesignHammer to get the new website project back on track.

According to Steve Hinkson, CED’s Director of Communication “DesignHammer has proved to be an extremely responsive partner for our website needs. The team works closely with us to understand our specific project challenges and makes recommendations that provide us a suitable approach that is both effective and budget conscious.”

After the new CED website successfully deployed, DesignHammer moved to further solidify the collaboration between the two organizations. “With the great work CED does for the entrepreneurial community in the Triangle, it was a no brainer for DesignHammer to become a Professional Firm member,” said Frank Yonnetti, DesignHammer Partner.

In addition to joining the organization, DesignHammer signed on as a Gold sponsor of CED's 25th annual Life Science Conference to be held at the Raleigh Convention Center on March 1–2, 2016. Based on past attendance figures, the Conference is expected to attract over one thousand attendees this year, including entrepreneurs, investors from across the country, and business representatives from companies such as DesignHammer who both support the conference and want to build relationships with the leaders in attendance.

We are looking forward to help support the entrepreneurial community both directly through our clients, as well as by supporting CED in it primary mission.
